Autumn is duck season - our joint duck dinner 2025
At this year's duck dinner at Landgasthof Röhrl in Pullach, we were once again treated to a delicious meal - crispy duck, served with red cabbage and dumplings.
The Brauerei Schneider Weisse brewery based in Kelheim was founded in 1607 by the Bavarian Duke Maximilian I, making it the oldest wheat beer brewery in Bavaria. the Schneider family bought the business in 1827. Since then, the brewery has been successfully run by several generations.
Georg Schneider VI, master brewer with heart and soul and current owner of Schneider Weisse, explains in an interview with Focus how he managed to become largely independent of fossil fuels and switch to sustainable energy from the region.
He generates his own energy using wood chips, which are reliably supplied by farmers in the region, which he then uses to cook the brewhouse, clean and fill the beer bottles and heat the buildings and the restaurant next door.
The concept developed and implemented by our consulting and engineering team has proven its worth for more than 10 years: Schneider Weisse burns wood residues from forest and woodland management and landscape conservation, thus ensuring sustainability in the region.
