Economic boom in the district of Kelheim - the MZ reports
Compared to 2012, the economy in the district of Kelheim has grown by 10% - in the construction sector even by almost 25% - and is therefore well above the average for the Free State of Bavaria. A large part of this growth is due to medium-sized companies such as Gammel Engineering. This economic boom is creating more jobs in the district of Kelheim, especially more apprenticeships - this is not only important, but essential for the continued existence and success of our region's economy.
However, the IHK also expresses doubts, especially about a shortage of skilled workers. Michael Gammel points out that companies should also look outside Germany for new talent and conduct interviews with applicants abroad. However, the focus of all companies must be on healthy cooperation with schools in the region in order to be able to offer graduates enough suitable apprenticeships in the district of Kelheim.
Other topics in the article deal with the women's quota, traffic congestion on the B16 and an increase and flexibilization of working hours in our district.
CONNECTA in Regensburg is the largest company contact fair in Bavaria and has established itself as an important meeting point between business, social institutions and students. Every year, numerous companies looking for motivated young talent present themselves there - and we were proud to be one of them!
BGM with a system - proven methods and instruments
3. Workshop of the 5-part seminar series at Gammel Engineering
As part of our seminar series "Systematic occupational health management - proven methods and tools", the third workshop took place yesterday with great success. Under the expert guidance of Dr. Martin Simmel and Ms. Barbara Mayrhofer, this time everything revolved around the topic of psychological risk assessment - a central component of occupational health management (OHM).
After around one and a half years of construction, the "Hummelchen" short-term care facility run by Katholische Jugendfürsorge (KJF) Regensburg has opened its doors. Here, children and young people with severe disabilities will find a loving temporary home - and their families valuable relief.
Gammel Engineering was involved in this special project as a planning partner for heating, ventilation and sanitation and is delighted to have contributed to this place of well-being with its technical expertise.
