Description
In Roding, Agrarenergie Roding eG has been combining two modern energy systems since 2000: a biomass cogeneration plant (850 kW) and a CHP plant with two modules, each with 120 kW of electricity. This allows electricity, process steam and heat to be generated and used efficiently
The entire system with a thermal output of 3,800 kW and 220 kWel directly supplies the Roding distillery and provides process steam and electricity. The district hospital, a senior citizens' home and, in future, a commercial area will be connected via a local heating pipeline
🔧 Technical highlights at a glance:
- 850 kW biomass boiler + 2 × 120 kW CHP - combined heat and power generation from regional biomass
- 3,800 kW heat output, 220 kW electrical output - optimized for industry and municipalities
- Local heat supply for hospital, retirement home, distillery & future business - sustainable settlement integration
- Citizen-oriented cooperative with stable investment conditions and municipal anchoring
🌱 Economical, ecological, regionally sustainable:
- CO₂ reduction: approx. 200 t/a - by eliminating fossil fuels
- Regional added value: Distillery energy self-sufficient, heat remains in the district
- Citizen participation: Cooperative-owned power plant - local acceptance and participation
💡 Why Roding is our lighthouse project:
We combine dynamic energy management with local commitment - for a reliable supply, sustainable economy and broad acceptance.
With CHP and local heating technology, we deliver holistically: steam, electricity, heat - directly from the region, for the region.
Gammel Engineering - we create energy systems that strengthen municipal structures and supply industrial processes.
