Hohenkammer Biogasanlage Schloss

Description

We have implemented a forward-looking energy concept for Akademie Schloss Hohenkammer and the adjoining Eichethof estate: Here, energy is generated where value is created. Since 2008, we have been using the biomass produced on the estate and waste wood from our own forest to supply the plant with electricity and heat.

🔧 Our technical performance in the project:

  • Biogas plant with dry fermentation (900 kWth / 200 kWel)
  • We have planned a modern biogas plant that only processes stackable substrate and benefits from the EEG innovation bonus - without any liquid manure. This underlines our ecological focus on site.
  • Heat route to the castle
  • The heat supply will be realized via an approximately 2.4 km long pipeline. This will replace around 80% of the previous natural gas consumption - a major contribution to climate protection and resource efficiency.
  • Holistic system design
  • We planned the overall integration: from the technical building connection and hydraulic clearances to buffering and control - for robust, maintenance-friendly operation.
  • Regional circular economy
  • Gut Eichethof supplies the castle and farm with ecologically produced biogas and uses its own wood energy - a role model in sustainable agriculture and regional value creation.

Conclusion: With our integrated energy concept for Schloss Hohenkammer and Gut Eichethof, we combine ecological agriculture, renewable energy and technical excellence. Gammel Engineering creates synergetic systems that mesh like gears - clever, sustainable and technically to the point. 🚀
