Description
We comprehensively analyzed, planned and provided technical support for the "Auf der Schwand" combined heat and power plant for infra fürth GmbH. Today, the plant supplies around 680 households in the "Eigenes Heim" district with renewable district heating - fed by two state-of-the-art combined heat and power plants that deliver a comfortable 450 kW of electrical and 500 kW of thermal output.
The special feature: we implemented the concept on the basis of 100% bio natural gas - from infra's own bio-energy center - and thus enabled electricity-intensive, decentralized production. Thanks to this technology, only minimal losses are incurred per day, while around 3,070 tons of CO₂ are saved per year - a real statement for climate protection and the local energy transition.
Our services in a nutshell:
- 💡 Overall hydraulic planning & Network analysis - for a stable heat supply in urban areas
- ⚙️ CHP integration into existing district heating network - with clever integration into the district
- 🔧 Technological adaptation to bio natural gas operation - high efficiency, flexible operation
- 🌱 CO₂ reduction & regenerative district heating - noticeable relief for the environment
Conclusion: With the "Auf der Schwand" combined heat and power plant, we impressively demonstrate how we as a planning office realize CHP systems on a regenerative basis - technically precise, resource-saving and with a real system character. Fürth is gaining a climate-friendly energy turbo - and we are proud to have helped design and shape it
