Geisenhausen Nahwärmekonzept Markt

Description

Together with Markt Geisenhausen, we developed the multi-layered local heating concept from 2016 - based on feasibility studies, heat demand analysis and comprehensive network planning. Our task was to create a supply structure based on renewable energies - efficient, anchored in the community and capable of long-term expansion.

Our approach at a glance

  • Heat demand analysis & heat register
  • Based on municipal heat and CO₂ balances, we identified heat densities - for example around the primary and secondary school, kindergartens, retirement home and club buildings. This resulted in a tailor-made concept for supply lines and heating centers.
  • Modular supply concepts
  • We developed variants that combine biomass heating plants (e.g. wood chip system at the school) with biogas or gas backup - flexible, efficient and expandable. A central pump system with a ring connection guarantees security of supply even with an increasing number of connections.
  • Communication & implementation strategy
  • We have promoted transparency and acceptance, clarified technical connection conditions and laid the foundations for a solid willingness to connect through several public information events (2023).

💡 Our impact

  • Efficient district heating planning - for almost all municipal buildings and new residential areas
  • Regenerative heat supply - Use of wood chips and biogas with a high regional share
  • Scalable system design - Expandable, future-proof, grid-resilient
  • Reliable basis for decision-making - technical feasibility, comparison of variants, grid hydraulics, funding opportunities
