In 2007, the first considerations were made as to how the municipal company could add energy generation to its existing business area of energy distribution. It was clear that base load-capable energy generation was needed in order to supply health resorts, sanatoriums and hotels with heat all year round. Power generation should also run as evenly as possible throughout the year. It was concluded that the best option was a biomass-based combined heat and power plant that utilized as much of the heat as possible. Gammel Engineering was entrusted with the development of the business model, the system and approval planning, the tendering and award procedure as well as the implementation planning of the combined heat and power plant and the heating network, the project management and construction management as well as the quality assurance and monitoring of the implementation. Yoga has been an integral part of our company routine for exactly one year now! Every Tuesday after work, around 8 to 12 employees meet for a yoga session with Susanne Ohneis. What originally began as a test phase has now become a fixed part of our health program - and many colleagues can no longer imagine their weekly schedule without it.
