A CHP unit and two peak load boilers provide the heat in the buildings; the CSSD has been converted to Thermal oil heat, supplied by two new boilers. All of the new burners can be be operated with natural gas or heating oil. A particular challenge: the new generation systems had to be integrated into the existing boiler house during ongoing operations.
