Sustainable supply concept for the Goldsteig cheese dairy in food technology
Climate protection and the lowest possible environmental impact are very important to our client Käserei Goldsteig - and the Gammel Engineering team has made resource conservation an essential core component of the service for more than 30 years. Wherever possible, energy is provided via recovery, cascades and the primary use of renewable energy.
We were able to develop, plan and provide engineering support for the implementation of an outstanding sustainability model for steam and hot water supply in the food industry for Goldsteig at the Stephansposching site. The use of heat from the "neighboring" paper mill via a long-distance steam pipeline and the optimal integration, conversion and distribution in the cheese dairy has created a perfect energy partnership.
Everyone involved is a winner: our client Goldsteig, the paper mill and, of course, the environment! And we are delighted with the success of the concept in terms of supply reliability, economy and functionality in day-to-day operations.

Topping-out ceremony for the new building housing a residential community for adults with disabilities in Rohr
The Catholic Youth Welfare Service (KJF) is building a shared living community in Rohr i. NB with four residential units for a total of 24 adults with disabilities. And not on the outskirts, but right in the heart of town. This is exactly what inclusion in action looks like.
CONNECTA is Bavaria’s largest student-organized career fair and a place where the business community and the next generation of professionals can truly engage in dialogue. We were there again in 2026: On October 21 and 22, we showcased our company on the OTH Regensburg campus at the fair’s 30th edition.
Donation to the organization Platzhalter für Demokratie e.V.
Through the Gammel Family Social Fund, we aim to provide targeted assistance where support is urgently needed. The fund is made up of the proceeds from our internal Christmas party, where an auction is held among our employees every year. During our regular staff meetings, we then work together to gather suggestions for potential recipients—this way, we decide as a team where the donations will go.
