Gammel Engineering fulfills exactly what I hoped for from my career change: more attention, more appreciation. Unlike a corporation, they really look at the individual. A word is a word. I can always rely on that. Together we are one big family, simply a great team at all levels.
Which project are you particularly proud of - and why?
As an environmental officer, I can contribute my knowledge to every project, as renewable energies and sustainability are the guiding principles in the company. Of course there are hierarchies in the team, but we are all on an equal footing. For us, project assistance doesn't just mean writing minutes; everyone is a real team member and closely involved. In this respect, I am proud of every project that we lead to success together. And when my own opinion is asked for every day, that makes me proud too, of course!
What are you personally doing to combat climate change?
We have switched our private electricity consumption to purely green electricity, buy locally and avoid short car journeys, taking the bike instead.

Topping-out ceremony for the new building housing a residential community for adults with disabilities in Rohr
The Catholic Youth Welfare Service (KJF) is building a shared living community in Rohr i. NB with four residential units for a total of 24 adults with disabilities. And not on the outskirts, but right in the heart of town. This is exactly what inclusion in action looks like.
CONNECTA is Bavaria’s largest student-organized career fair and a place where the business community and the next generation of professionals can truly engage in dialogue. We were there again in 2026: On October 21 and 22, we showcased our company on the OTH Regensburg campus at the fair’s 30th edition.
Donation to the organization Platzhalter für Demokratie e.V.
Through the Gammel Family Social Fund, we aim to provide targeted assistance where support is urgently needed. The fund is made up of the proceeds from our internal Christmas party, where an auction is held among our employees every year. During our regular staff meetings, we then work together to gather suggestions for potential recipients—this way, we decide as a team where the donations will go.
