Description
A sustainable and economical solution for the Klinikum Altmühlfranken, which currently has 190 beds, was implemented at the Weißenburg site to supply its own electricity and heat.
As part of a feasibility study, Gammel Engineering recommended the integration of a gas engine combined heat and power plant - with convincing results: cost efficiency and security of supply.
🔧 Highlights of our solution:
- Installation of a CHP unit with 140 kW electrical and 180 kW thermal output
- Fundamental revision of the hydraulic distribution to increase efficiency
- Modernization of the main distributors with electronically controlled pump groups
💡 Why this project is convincing:
The targeted combination of decentralized energy generation, high efficiency and intelligent distribution technology makes the hospital a role model for sustainable energy solutions in the healthcare sector.
