Description
Naturenergie Eslarn-Vohenstrauß GmbH operates a high-performance local heating network that supplies central facilities such as schools, hospitals and retirement homes with environmentally friendly heat.
The heart of the supply is an 800 kW biomass boiler, which covers the majority of the energy requirement with low emissions - supplemented by a oil boiler for peak load and emergency supply.
🔧 Highlights of our solution:
- Heat generation by biomass boiler with 800 kW output - covers at least 85% of the annual heat requirement
- Redundant boiler powered by heating oil ensures full supply during peak times and maintenance phases
- Reliable wood supply through the Forest Owners Association (WBV) Eslarn-Vohenstrauß - almost 100% of the fuel comes from the region
- Supplying critical infrastructure such as hospitals and educational institutions - safely, sustainable and economical
💡 Why this project is convincing:
With this project, the region is sending a strong signal for the communal energy transition. The combination of local added value, technical efficiency and CO₂-neutral heat generation makes Eslarn-Vohenstrauß a role model for sustainable local heating concepts.
