Description
We implemented the extension of the existing district heating network around the cultural center in Sulzbach-Rosenberg. The client was Danpower GmbH, which operates the local biomass cogeneration plant, and commissioned Gammel Engineering with the hydraulic planning and network upgrade
🔧 Technology & special features:
- Extension of the district heating network from the power plant site to the new cultural centre
- Adaptation of the network hydraulics: Optimization of pressure ratios, flow rates and flow temperatures
- Integration of transfer stations, certified for public buildings - including MSR connection
🌱 Sustainable effects:
- Climate-friendly heat supply through the use of renewable energy sources from the existing CHP plant
- Relief of decentralized heating systems in the cultural center - via connection to a modern district heating network
- Model for municipal infrastructure planning: efficient, central heat distribution as a model
💡 Why the project works on a Gammel scale:
- We combine technical planning with communal added value - promoting culture through green energy
- Customized integration into the pre-existing system - without technical disruptions
- Gammel Engineering - we create infrastructure that combines culture and climate protection
