Description
The Biomass heating plant Schrobenhausen II was built as an extension to the existing heat supply - strategically connected to the Kreishallenbad in order to reliably supply the School Center (elementary school, vocational school, secondary school and grammar school) and the indoor swimming pool. The integration of the secondary school is already being planned
🔧 Key technical data
- Biomass boiler: 800 kW thermal with buffer storage
- Peak load supply: 1,900 kW from the indoor pool's boiler room - including feedback capacity for the grid
- Year of construction: 2006 - accompanied by business plan, funding application and overall planning by Gammel Engineering
🌱 Efficiency & Sustainability
- Reduction of fossil heating energy through high regenerative base load supply
- Cost efficiency: RegEnerg SZ Schrobenhausen GmbH & Co. KG received funding (€ 164,000) from the state of Bavaria - total costs approx. € 1.1 million
💡 Why Schrobenhausen II is a Gammel project:
- An integrated concept - supply for school and bathroom from one heating system
- High security of supply & grid feedback in an emergency
- Economical thanks to funding, regenerative efficiency and module expansion - including secondary school
