Description
cetto Kunststoffverarbeitung GmbH in Saal an der Donau is a globally active specialist in injection molding and tool technology. In 2018, Gammel Engineering commissioned the development of two waste heat concepts for funding applications as part of the KfW Energy Efficiency Program - Waste Heat (294)
🔧 Scope of services and technical data:
- Analysis of the waste heat sources of two older injection molding machines
- Development of two detailed waste heat concepts, grant application to KfW included
- After successful implementation, savings per machine:
- Machine 1: 39,000 kWh/a energy saving → 23 t CO₂/a
- Machine 2: 61,000 kWh/a energy saving → 37 t CO₂/a
💡 Why this project is important:
- It combines industrial processes with climate protection and economic efficiency
- Use of the KfW program 294: Promotion of comprehensive waste heat recovery concepts with low-interest loans and repayment grants of up to 50%
- The concepts show how targeted process optimization & waste heat recovery can achieve significant effects
