In October 2006, the first peak load boiler in the monastery's boiler room was replaced. By converting a warehouse opposite, it was possible to create an optimal installation site for the wood chip heating system. In May 2007, work began on the structural conversion and subsequent installation of the wood chip heating system. The biomass heating system with 450 KW has been in operation since October 2007 and can replace most of the heat previously generated with oil.
