Description
The St. Wolfgangsbauverein e.V. (now Wohnbau St. Wolfgang eG) modernized and expanded an inner-city residential area in southern Regensburg - with comprehensive balcony renovation, new construction and energy upgrades. The project brings new apartments, more comfort and a future-oriented heating supply to one of the most popular districts in the city.
Gammel Engineering was responsible for planning and implementing the local heating connection as part of this renovation and new build project, in particular for the connection to the existing heating system at Augsburger Straße 12b.
🔧 Project data & technology:
- Renovation of Augsburger Straße 9-15a: Balconies were added to 48 apartments, apartments were modernized in terms of energy efficiency and hydraulically connected to the central heating system
- New construction at Augsburger Straße 8, 10, 14, 16: Demolition and replacement construction of four buildings with a total of 37 apartments, plus 400 m² of new office space - including underground parking extension
- Bischof-Wittmann-Straße 37: Existing building demolished, gap closure planned with 30 new apartments and daycare center in the inner courtyard
- Energetic goal: EnV-compliant buildings, thermal insulation, modern local heating systems - ideal for new and existing buildings. Connection to central heating system (Augsburger Str. 12b) with local heating pipeline and optional air heat pump support
