Description
As a premium supplier, Milchwerke Berchtesgadener Land Chiemgau e. G. processes around 750 tons of milk every day - with dynamically increasing sales and a steadily growing production volume. Gammel Engineering was commissioned with the conception and overall planning of a new energy center in order to meet this development in an energy-efficient manner for the future.
The focus: a highly efficient, expandable overall system for electricity, steam and heat generation that can accommodate both short-term capacity expansions and the long-term expansion of the site.
🔧 Core components of the energy concept:
- Gas turbine (1,6 MWel) to generate its own electricity
- Waste heat boiler (5 t/h steam) to utilize the turbine waste heat
- 2 x saturated steam boilers (10 t/h each) with 2Material burners for peak load coverage
- Modular expansion in two stages - prepared for growth over the next 10-15 years
- Integration into the plant logistics and energy infrastructure
đź’ˇ Why this project is groundbreaking:
- Holistic engineering for production, energy and efficiency
- Sustainable energy supply with a high proportion of self-generation
- Flexible concept - designed for medium and long-term expansion steps
- Future-proof heat and steam supply for dairy and process plants
