In Neunburg vorm Wald, Lorenz Bahlsen Snack-World GmbH & Co KG commissioned our team to create a holistic energy efficiency concept. The background to this was the sharp rise in energy prices - the focus was therefore on optimizing the steam and power supply through cogeneration. Our concept shows specific ways in which process energy can be generated and distributed more efficiently and sustainably.
The core of the proposed solution is a cogeneration plant (CHP) with waste heat boiler, which provides both electricity and steam. The steam generated will be fed into the existing process steam network, while the thermal energy will also be harnessed via a new hot water network. The systematic analysis of potential hot water consumers - from process heat to sanitary areas and outbuildings - was a central component of our efficiency concept.
