Mainburg Biomasse-Heizwerk

Description

In Mainburg, we developed a tailor-made, climate-friendly heating concept for the new industrial estate - resulting in a modern biomass heating plant that has been reliably supplying renewable heat since 1998. We had previously examined 20 heating and power plant concepts technically and economically as part of a comprehensive variant analysis - the optimal solution is now convincing both ecologically and industrially.

The plant is fired with natural woodchips from the region and covers the entire heat requirement of the industrial estate. We also supply the Hallertauer Hopfenveredelungsgesellschaft with processable saturated steam - a successful example of municipal-industrial synergies based on renewable energy.

🔧 Highlights of our solution:

Heat & steam from biomass:

Reliable hot water supply for the entire industrial estate + industrial steam generation for HHV - coupled, efficient, reliable.

Technical specification:

7,000 kWth output - economically planned, sustainable in the long term.

Regional added value:

Firing of regional wood chips in the low-emission boiler - reduces fossil dependency, strengthens local cycles.

Optimized operational management:

System concept with buffer storage and adapted control - minimum primary energy input with maximum utilization rate.

đź’ˇ Why Mainburg is a successful project for us:

We implement individual energy solutions with a high connection rate and industrial usability.

With biomass, we consistently rely on regional raw materials and create independent supply structures.

Our project strengthens the municipal trade and intelligently integrates industrial partners.

The tailor-made planning and implementation by Gammel Engineering ensures permanently low operating costs with high supply security.
