Description
We played a key role in orchestrating the expansion of the central cooling system for the Audi AG data center in Ingolstadt - with a clear focus on efficiency, performance and future-proofing:
- Hybrid chiller upgrade: Replacement of the 8 existing adiabatic chillers with eight new hybrid chillers, each with 1.18 MW capacity - for optimized free cooling and maximum heat transfer.
- Chiller expansion: Integration of three powerful chillers with 1.8 MW (15/21 °C) each into the cooling center - for reliable cooling under full load.
- Network & system optimization: We have modernized the cold and cooling water network - including new heat exchangers, efficient pump technology and optimized free cooling.
- MSR expertise & control technology: Complete control and regulation architecture that intelligently and flexibly controls hydraulic and thermodynamic processes.
💡 Why the project is strong:
- Top-level electrical cooling capacity - 5.4 MW peak system for data center.
- Hybrid technology & free cooling - maximum efficiency thanks to intelligent hydraulic planning.
- Comprehensive building services engineering solution - from cooling capacity to I&C control from a single source.
- Future-proof technology - scalable, energy-efficient and economically robust.
Conclusion: We have planned a cooling system for Audi that serves state-of-the-art data centers with energy efficiency, resilience and technical precision. Gammel Engineering provides expertise for sophisticated concepts in the high-end environment - smart, powerful and reliable.
