The Holzkirchen municipal utilities are pressing ahead with their municipal geothermal project: up to 80% of their heating requirements are to be covered by their existing district heating network of almost 25 km in length. We were commissioned with the planning - specifically with:
- Hydraulic connection of the geothermal heating center to the existing district heating network
- Design of the pipeline routes, including pressure and heat loss calculation
- Dimensioning of the heating center & Network pumps, including pressure maintenance and make-up
- Connection of the three existing heat islands, hydraulic and control technology
Our work ensures that deep geothermal energy is provided smoothly, efficiently and safely. The foundations have been laid for a long-term climate-friendly system.
