Description
In Hersbruck, we have realized one of the world's first GuORC plants for Naturenergie Hersbruck GmbH & Co KG - a powerful system for generating electricity and heat from natural biomass. The innovative combined power system combines highly efficient wood combustion with a modified gas turbine and a downstream ORC stage - this is true combined heat and power generation par excellence
With a thermal output of around 1,100 kW and around 400 kW of electricity, the system supplies the municipal district heating network, increases energy efficiency and avoids waste heat losses in an impressive way. Electricity production is around 210-222 kW, which corresponds to almost 96% of the nominal output - a significant milestone in practice.
Our highlights - planning with system impact:
- Pioneering system with maximum impact: First GuORC power plant worldwide - we have set a technological benchmark.
- Full TGA integration: From grate gasification to gas turbine and ORC integration - we planned the entire process flow and static integration.
- Excellent emissions technology: Emission values are far below legal limits - dust < 2 mg/Nm³, CO only 0.01 g/Nm³.
- Practical optimization: We ensured long-term, stable operation through consistent process optimization during the commissioning phase.
Conclusion: The Hersbruck combined power system shows what Gammel Engineering stands for: system thinkers, innovation leaders and technical visionaries. Here, renewable energy merges with cutting-edge technology - local, efficient and forward-looking.
