Gammel Engineering has been relying on real industry expertise at the Schwaiger sawmill since 2005: back then, we built the first ORC wood-fired combined heat and power plant with over 1,500 kW of electricity - one of the most powerful plants of its kind in the timber industry. The plant uses landscape conservation material to generate electricity, saves over 20 years of guaranteed feed-in tariffs and strengthens its independence from oil and gas markets 💡
In 2014, we expanded the success story: planning and implementation of the second ORC power plant with 2,600 kW of electricity, integrated into the sawmill and pellet plant. The energy supply was thus expanded and adapted to the company's growth - including comprehensive system and approval planning as well as quality assurance on site
