Description
For the agricultural energy company and the municipality of Furth, we planned an innovative biomass heating plant with 2,000 kW thermal output - fully supplemented by 284 m² of solar collectors on the boiler house and warehouse. This system supplies the school center, the Marist monastery, the town center and a new residential district with energy efficiently - via a specially developed low-temperature heating network.
We achieve impressive results with our concept:
- Solar Boost: The solar collectors supply around 5% of the annual heat, in addition to 90% coverage by biomass - this proves perfect use of synergies.
- Regional circular economy: Around 950 tons of local wood chips are used each year - replacing around 300,000 liters of heating oil, which saves around 950 tons of CO₂.
- Modular heating network: The heating network is deliberately expanding towards new residential areas - with enough reserve for future growth.
💡 What we planned and implemented:
- Comprehensive technical building services planning for biomass heating plant & solar system
- Hydraulics and laying of the low-temperature pipe network
- Technical design of the solar-thermal integration in combined operation
- Scalable infrastructure for redensification in the residential area
Conclusion: With the Furth biomass heating plant, we have designed a flexible, climate-friendly heating system - technically sophisticated, economically viable and regionally oriented. A real showcase project for renewable local heating that demonstrates what we do: planning with foresight & impact.
