Description
Turning previously unused process heat into valuable energy: in a technically highly sophisticated project, we are tapping into the waste heat from the silicon drawing process and making it usable - efficiently, sustainably and precisely planned. As experts in industrial heat recovery, we have converted the existing hot water circuit to achieve a stable temperature level of an impressive 120 °C - under a wide range of process conditions.
Our engineers have combined all reactors and systems into an intelligent heating concept. The collected energy is fed into a specially developed district heating system via high-performance shell-and-tube heat exchangers - a real masterpiece of system integration. The heat is transported via around 3,000 meters of pipe - laid in the ground, on pipe bridges and pipe sleepers - to the drying systems on the factory premises with pinpoint accuracy.
The result: maximum energy efficiency, significant CO₂ savings and a showcase project for innovative process heat use. Gammel Engineering doesn't just deliver technology here - we deliver impact. As experienced system architects in energy technology, we get the most out of industrial waste heat - safely, scalably and with full enthusiasm for precise engineering.
