We developed the biomass heating plant with an extensive heating network back in the early 1990s, procured funding for its realization and provided all engineering services. Since then, we have advised Biomasse-Wärmeverbund Aichach GmbH on the strategic development of its business model and supported it in its operational tasks. Among other things, the BWA supplies the two residential areas of Aichach Nord and Plattenberg, public buildings (schools, hospital) as well as commercial buildings and residential complexes with heat. The brisk demand for clean heat from biomass made it possible to expand into combined heat and power generation with an ORC process. The electricity generated is fed into the public grid in accordance with the EEG. Peak load and redundancy are taken over by the original energy center of the district hospital, from which it can be fed into the grid
