The in-depth experience of the SMP operations managers, in particular plant manager Manuel Ötsch and his team, was also incorporated into the planning. Standards and requirements for future production facilities, including those relating to Industry 4.0, were defined and successfully implemented. The new plant is therefore the model for SMP's other current investments, e.g. in Hungary or Mexico.
