With the ground-breaking ceremony, deep geothermal energy is finally visible in Gräfelfing. An important milestone on the way to a sustainable, regional and climate-friendly heat supply. Numerous guests from politics, administration, business and civil society celebrated together - a strong sign of the broad support for this project.
It has been a long journey from the initial considerations in 2009 to today's implementation, which Gammel Engineering has continuously accompanied. With the founding of Geothermie Gräfelfing GmbH & Co KG (GGK), the securing of extensive funding and the transition to 100% municipal ownership, a stable basis for project implementation has now been created.
