Gammel Engineering GmbH was recognized as a TOP Company in Lower Bavaria in the Kelheim district.
On April 21, 2026, the Bavarian Energy Forum took place in Gunzenhausen; it is one of the most important gatherings for municipal decision-makers, energy providers, and planning experts in Bavaria.
Gammel Engineering was also represented as an exhibitor and gave its own technical presentation.
Michael S. Gammel gave a presentation titled: “The Bridge from KWP to BEW – Developing, Planning, and Building Heating Networks – Step by Step.”
In his presentation, he provided a practical overview of how municipalities can successfully manage the transition from municipal heat planning (KWP) to federal funding for efficient heating networks (BEW).
He explained the steps necessary to develop a strategic concept into an eligible and implementable district heating project—from the feasibility study through funding applications to concrete implementation.
The Energy Forum provided an excellent opportunity for exchange with representatives from local governments, politics, and business.
At the exhibition booth, the Gammel team held numerous discussions about current projects, funding opportunities, and the next steps toward a climate-neutral heat supply in Bavaria.
Michael S. Gammel aptly summarized the day:
Many thanks to the Bayerische GemeindeZeitung and the Bavarian Association of Municipalities for the successful event, and to all visitors for the engaging discussions in Gunzenhausen.

Today we had the pleasure of attending the flag dedication ceremony for the Sandsbach Volunteer Fire Department. Special congratulations go to our colleague Anita, who has taken on the honorary role of flag mother with great passion—we’re proud of you!
Yesterday, a topping-out ceremony was held on the grounds of the B.B.W. St. Franziskus in Abensberg to celebrate the new inclusive Franziskus Children’s Center. Nine months after the groundbreaking, the building’s shell is complete, and the construction project is proceeding according to schedule.
