In practice, things look very different: lots of project ideas and sketches - exciting future energy projects in development - but very little to nothing in implementation!
The economic framework conditions for combined heat, power and cooling, high-temperature heat pumps, waste heat recovery, biomass heating (power) plants, development and expansion of heating networks, etc. are more favorable than ever before due to skyrocketing energy prices. Business plans show extremely short payback periods for investments in energy efficiency and energy saving. The technical feasibility is demonstrable - in most cases, a quantum leap in terms of energy efficiency can be achieved with tried and tested technologies, especially for energy-intensive companies that operate an outdated energy infrastructure due to massive electricity price subsidies in recent years. No technical risk - the figures in the business plans are comprehensible and reliable for economists, and the ecological effect is transparent and comprehensible.
And yet there are still no investment decisions, the energy of the future will have to wait!
The brake on the start-up of many innovative projects is the still vague Easter package from the German government, which Minister Habeck and his team developed and recently presented. It is expected that the legislative package of around 600 pages will be approved by the Bundesrat and Bundestag by July of this year, as announced, and then it will be put into practice. The industry is waiting for the definition of reliable and sustainable guidelines for the upcoming investment decisions, e.g. the federal subsidy for efficient heating networks BEW. A long time, during which many investments will be postponed and blocked for the time being. We have already lost a lot of time over the past few years because framework conditions have changed overnight and investments in the future of energy have been reduced to absurdity. Time that we no longer have for the most pressing challenge facing humanity and that we must not lose despite the complexity of the issue!
One massively pressing example is the uncertainty surrounding the future of the gas infrastructure, without which security of supply in Germany will not be possible in the foreseeable future. A clear statement that natural gas will be replaced by green synthesis gas as quickly as possible while retaining the gas network and gas storage facilities in our country would be a great help for decision-makers. To achieve this, we need guidance and specific funding projects and therefore investment security.

Rising energy and raw material prices can be counteracted by using sustainable energy technologies and thus reducing CO2 emissions. This not only significantly reduces cost explosions, but also reduces your own ecological footprint. Pioneers in the dairy industry are also focusing on this.
Some people are simply indispensable in a company - Thomas "Tom" Winkler is one of them. He started with us around 25 years ago as a young engineer and grew from project manager to project manager to authorized signatory. With a great deal of passion and dedication, he has become a permanent fixture in our management team. But above all, Tom is a real team player who always has an open ear, is always willing to help and makes everyday life easier with his good humor.
