The Bischofshof Brewery is publishing a special edition of the Freundschaftsecho to mark the inauguration of the Bischofshof Arbeitswelt.

The former grain silo of the Bischofshof brewery has been renovated to become the administrative building of the Bischofshof brewery with a harmonious ambience and workplaces in accordance with the Fraunhofer Institute. Bishop Rudolf has now blessed the new working environment of the Bischofshof brewery. Gammel Engineering took over the project development and preparation of the business plan including the CHP energy center, the development of variants of various heating and cooling systems up to implementation maturity as well as the planning of expansion options with automatic extinguishing system.

SMP (Samvardhana Motherson Peguform) buys land in Schierling: construction of the new plant can begin after the contract is signed. Construction on the 70,000 square meter site begins in September. General Chapter sets the course for the future: Sister M. Jakobe Schmid is the new Superior General of the Mallersdorf Sisters. Gammel Engineering has converted the Mallersdorf convent's energy supply to renewable energy. The heating system can be supplied entirely from the convent's own forest. The new biomass boiler has been supplying heat as planned since the end of January 2008.

No more clouds of smoke and no more drilling noises, and the "landmark" on site has also disappeared: According to Gothermische Kraftwerksgesellschaft Traunreut, the pump test of the second borehole at the geothermal construction site in Traunreut has also been successful. Gammel Engineering GmbH is planning the district heating, which will be supplied from geothermal energy.
