Energy Saving Ordinance

The Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEv) is a guideline for defining minimum construction requirements for residential buildings, office buildings and certain commercial buildings. It specifies requirements for the primary energy demand, thermal equipment and building technology (heating, cooling, ventilation, hot water supply, etc.). A virtual reference building with the same geometry, usable building area and orientation is used to determine the permissible annual primary energy demand.
