Electromobility describes the use of an electric motor as a drive instead of the conventional use of an internal combustion engine. While an internal combustion engine requires liquid or gaseous fuel, an electric motor is powered by electricity that is stored in batteries. By using renewable electricity to charge the batteries, exhaust and CO2 emissions in traffic are reduced to zero.
